Immediately after it, you're hit by one amazing banger after another without stopping. Even though it starts off with a sort of filler track, The Future of Warfare, it starts it off perfectly and sets the tone for the rest of the album. Musically speaking, this is, without a doubt, their most stacked album when it comes to great songs. And it all finally culminated with the release of this masterpiece of an album. From there on, each and every album struck a connection with me that I've been wanting to make all this time. For the first time, I felt like this band truly had the x-factor everyone had been talking about. A sign of a band that had finally figured it out. Carolus Rex was an amazing album and a sign of things to come. But then, album after album, as this band steadily improved their sound and overall musicianship skills, things began to change. Some might disagree with me here, but I still hold by these initial thoughts of mine that their earlier discography isn't as resonating. None of the albums up to that point ever really made any impact on me whatsoever, and I thought my friends just had bad taste for blowing this band out of proportion. I could tell they were pretty good, but I didn't really understand why exactly were they THAT popular. Some twelve years ago, when I had just begun getting into metal, there was this one band that my friends were going crazy about and pestering me daily with their music.
